Join with the Friends of Bolton Lakes in restoring and maintaining our magnificent lake system. All lake residents and lake users should educate themselves and follow best lake management practices.

A number of important steps include:
    - Maintaining septic systems until the Bolton/Vernon sewer project is completed
    - Monitoring invasive weed introduction at the state boat launch
    - Controlling run off and soil erosion around the perimeter of the lake
    - Reducing or eliminating fertilizer use; reducing or eliminating pesticides
    - Managing waterfowl population around and on the lake
    - Adhering to beneficial landscaping practices
    - Properly disposing of pet waste
    - Washing vehicles away from the lake
