Dear Bolton Lakes Watershed Resident,
The Friends of Bolton Lakes (FBL), with your help, is proud to contribute to the well-being of our precious watershed.
We continue to meet and communicate with state and town officials and the Conservation Commissions of the four towns in the watershed: Bolton, Coventry, Tolland, and Vernon. We work together to address short-term issues as they arise and develop a long-term strategy for the watershed’s environmental health. Our Annual Community Forums each October bring together state and town officials and residents to review ongoing activities and offer comments.
Your past support has enabled the purchase of water-quality monitoring equipment to support the analysis of water and soil samples, some of which required outsourcing to parties with more specialized equipment. You may have seen our volunteer members on the lakes testing, taking water samples and doing weed and algae surveys. As with any natural resource, it takes a lot of effort to maintain the health and beauty of our lakes.
Your ongoing support makes these important activities possible. There is much more that we should and want to do. You'll find below the registration form for FBL membership; please renew your membership as must be done each year. If you're not yet a member, click below to register.
In addition, please let us know if you would be interested in a more active role in the organization by clicking the link below and emailing us. We are always looking for people willing to invest some of their valuable time in support of our lakes.
Thank You!
